As you might have expected, the CoronaVirus has affected our upcoming 50th Class Reunion plans. The following is an extract from COL Cogin’s Alumni Update dated March 20, 2020.
“Alumni Weekend (1-3 May) – with the current limitation on public gatherings, it would not be possible to hold the originally scheduled Alumni Weekend event. Based on the current sentiment, it is our expectation that even if restrictions are loosened, it is advisable to make alternative plans for Alumni Weekend.
Our current plan is to develop a “virtual” Alumni Weekend with the same dates (1-3 May), and look to add on-campus alumni events in connection with Founders Day in the fall (October).
We appreciate your understanding. We are praying for your health, safety, and patience. Pray for ours, too. This is a time when weak organizations will fail and the strong organizations will thrive. We have to harness the power of our alumni to be strong. Some of the private military academies are going to be crushed by the impact of COVID-19. We must remain diligent.
God bless you. Go FUMA! “
As you can see and imagine, these plans are extremely fluid, so please come back to this site regularly in order to learn the latest information concerning our 50th class reunion.
